Defying all ODDs

I am stuck in your lies
The relationship defies

I feel a little less
It's all a huge mess

I talk my mind
Let's not play games

By making a fool of me in the hindsight
I wish to disappear from your world your sight

It no right & wrong
It's a little fight in my mind

You killed my opportunities
You kept a single focus sight

You need me - you play with me
You never trust me or care

You lie you defy and you never share
You make me wonder always if you really do care!!

You taught me
Now sort me
Hate me just say me
Why give me this loaned care..

There's no point to prove right!
It just doesn't feel fair..

My mum says my dad feels
I am a gem so rare!

This is how you defy me
O dear! you just don't care!

Life without touch-ups!

We all should always try to lead a life without touch-ups! It is real and it keeps the essence maintained. The natural beauty, the real meaning and quintessential life is the one without touch-ups.

Imagine a picture, when you see it without touch-ups, it certainly makes you smile but when you try to make it better it leaves you analyzing and when you try to perfect it – it loses the essence.

Why is it becoming necessary for most of us to lead a perfect life? What is a perfect life? Is it the one which we see others living, is it one which we read in the books, page 3 and celluloid.  No, life is all about small & simple moments of happiness we create, we share and also about those moments which test us on our faith.

Live Simple. Stop Comparing

Is is not life just perfect when we live it simplified? Now I am not trying to pull in any old school or new school philosophy when I use the word simplified.

Simplified here suggests, the way it makes us happy. Why complicate it with comparisons, with adaptations to fit the bill. Where are we trying to fit ourselves into and with whom and why for all reasons?

Have Choices. Take Decisions

I love the present day youth for this reason. They don’t believe in any race. They all want to be cool in their own ways. The young parents of today do not want to impose things on their kids; they want them to grow, to learn and most importantly to CHOOSE for them.

I have observed, a child who grows in such an environment becomes a better human being, a bright professional and is always considered approachable socially. Because he/she has learnt to adapt, to talk out and to share fearlessly because they know they will be heard, understood and once again not forced to follow decisions.

Give Space. Nourish Relationships

Be it your personal or professional life you need to give space. This space is important not just to nourish relationships but also to live healthy and grow healthy. Healthy Relationships are the key to success at work, it leads to strong bonds of friendship, trust and makes everyone is them empowered.

By saying giving space, I mean to allow them to be on their own in thoughts, viewpoints and situations. This works to bring in the sense of responsibility. When they know – you are there to help them always, they develop the sense of belonging and this confidence helps them face life with face up, no matter what.

Choice is always yours. Choose to lead a life with No Touch-ups! Like an Image, life too will not leave its essence. Have a Happy Life, Stay Blessed.

Sisterly Love!

This one is for my l'll sister with whom - I am bound to argue when we meet in person and stay together for like more than a day!!!! Thats how sisters are....

It's been long - I posted something! A friend reminded me this morning and now while I was chatting to my sis in prose - she suggested, Post it Di! And here we go...

Disclaimer: Chinks - is how I call my sister fondly! She is a fitness freak, a fashion designer currently associated with Ritu Kumar and never goes out of the lectures for me staying fit!!! You might feel this is silly - but I am posting it on my space because I feel whenever
I 'll get back here, I will smile :)

Hey chinks

I hope my body shrinks
So that there are no obese links
Face & Figure in syncs
And i look pinks
Eyes ping - Phones ring
Heart sinks, lot of drinks!

Birthday Thoughts...:)

Yesterday morning….while I entered into another b'day of my life...I had some thoughts. Though I got calls from my family at 12 the night before and they were happy to wish me a happy birthday. They are happy that I am here….I exist as a part of their life.

Similarly, I am glad that I am given a chance to be me. Sometimes we have to be glad about ourselves. This morning that is what I told God and I thanked him to be with me like always. I thanked him for giving me the courage, the patience and the zeal to do things for good. Then I remembered my guru’s who are always by my side preaching goodness and instilling faith in me.

Then came those good people who remembered me, few have been with me for a reason or a season. But my goodness, the wishes were inspiring and made my day. I felt a little more special and I smiled. I am at peace that, they exist and I am glad I exist in close proximity of such wonderful people.

I am putting in here something which a teammate now friend sent to me yesterday morning. We have a relationship filled of respect and mutual admiration. I am going to cherish this gesture…the time spent on creating this for me, makes me feel special and worthy of finding happiness in little things. Isn’t it beautiful?

Stepping on a birthday ladder brings so many more queries in my mind. Life seems to be curious like me…..growing up is fun as it brings me to peace, keeps me calm and serene. I have learnt to keep patience, to give, to share and to be happy. I have learnt it is all a state of mind.

I worry about my anger – especially when I can’t control it with my mom. She still is the most tolerant when it comes about me. But then she understands the feelings, the unexpressed lot which bounces out only when she is around. I hope I get better this year on this front.

Recently, I have realized at times I am too vulnerable. I want to work towards that. I tend to lose spirits quite easily and start dreaming of a free-bird life which is practically difficult. But whatever be the case – I am truly the same freespirit – aspiring & dreaming big which each passing day :)

I Lost My Space - A Free-spirit's letter to me!

A deep breath is what I started this post with. A deep breath – helps me realize I still have some breathing space….some space at free-spirit to share and have my room too. Where I won’t be adjudged for being someone’s someone and the linkages thereafter.

Acceptance matters. I truly feel and have realized it many times before – that I have lost my space. And the best way to a good life – of course I mean peaceful life is to accept the fact of being a lone survivor in someone else’s place. Acceptance makes life easy, peaceful and beautiful. When there is no acceptance there is no peace.

Expectations kill. Yes, I do agree but my inner self always believed in expecting from self. And that always if followed by Self-belief. The self motivated me breaks down & gather herself to fight the battles of life. Professionally – I never had a problem. I was just able to tackle situations & people with efficacy.

Though on personal front – many a times, I got the feeling of being a complete failure. When I see around, I felt being trapped on a lonely island where no one can listen to you, see you, talk to you – forget about understanding you. I have everyone around still I have a fighting feeling of dejection & loneliness. I feel being the extra one. Called only when required, but the extra one is expected to be ready always. What a Pity! At times I think. I am a strong, happy, full of life – person. Did I say – I am? I was sounds more apt now. For now I have been constantly under pressure of someone’s expectation, social pressures and of being a good everything. That someone could be anyone as close as in family or as far as a business associate. There is no gratification left towards life. It’s just like a drummer on stage….need to beat it loud for others watching him. And no one cares – whether he loves what he is playing or not.

I thought of it as a problem. Yeah, being too practical & sensitive I did think that I should be checked but then I know the problems, I shall sort them out. And the bigger reason is - no one else even thinks there is a problem at all. It’s just my over-sensitivity, my immaturity, my selfishness and me being too ambitious.

A Devastate. More and more times I am being told – what a devastate I am. I have the capabilities to make others feel bad; dishonor them, not to accept their ways of life. But what worries me here is – Am I the only to accept here. Is anyone trying to accept me & my dreams here?

I am not Water. I wanted to say one thing. I am not water so I cannot immediately take the shape of its container. I am human. I did had 2 phases of life before this 3rd one, at home and second at the hostel. I am something. I am a free-spirit and I will take time in forgetting about that. Why am I supposed to leave my own self aside and be someone else that I am not?

I need to be cared. I have an urged to be cared for. Someone who shall stand by me always even at times if its for Social reasons. My mom – shall understand & talk to me like she used to do earlier. And not just about the new identity & its do’s & don’ts.

I shall be given my space. I need my space to dream big, to follow my heart, to believe in myself. My space to cry, smile, breathe and to live.

Complicated!

The denseness in relationships, an intricate state of mind is what could be called as a perfect Complicated Life. There is lot to understand in the otherwise simplest statement I just made.

I always knew about me being complicated! I don’t know but I guess it was the onus of being good. When I say being good, I mean a good daughter, a good sister, a good wife, a good daughter-in-law, a good host, a good friend – no I guess those who stand by me – never bother about me being good or bad, Ah! just realized I have been ‘me’ at certain occasions. Anyways, the benefit of living with the onus of being good is that you never get carried away and you learn to self-restrict. Its like how could I?

Aren’t the words getting complicated? I say so, because I came back to this page after almost an hour after I finished the above paragraph. I have a loss of words. I am worried. Its not usual………I normally finish up my write-ups. I feel I am confused with my words & state of mind. Does this happen to you as well?

But yes, we were talking about the benefits of living with the onus of being good. Hey! What about the drawbacks….many of them. You always keep a part of you closed which shall be unearthed but you die waiting for the right time, right place & may be right people. You always carry this notion – that there is something which people don’t understand or may be something which you want them to listen & understand. You die with a heavy heart because there was so much to say for which you never managed to get an ear for. So many…so sad!

Anyways………I would end it up with what I always believed is the truth at the end of the day. Life is Beautiful. It’s either us or the situations which are complicated!

OPRAH WINFREY ON RELATIONSHIPS......!

This is just an e-mail fwd., quite good & interesting read..........

WHAT OPRAH WINFREY HAD TO SAY ABOUT MEN

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
Stop making excuses for a man and his behaviour.
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.

Slower is better.

Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.

If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no, you can't 'be friends'. A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend.
Don't settle.

If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is
Don't stay because you think 'it will get better'
You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.
The only person you can control in a relationship is you.

Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women.

He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant,
why would he treat you any differently?

Always have your own set of friends separate from his.
Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you.
If something bothers you, speak up.

Never let a man know everything.* He will use it against you later.

You cannot change a man's behaviour.* Change comes from within.

Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...
Even if he has more education or in a better job.

Do not make him into a quasi-god.
He is a man, nothing more nothing less.
Never let a man define who you are.
Never borrow someone else's man.

A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.

All men are NOT dogs.

You should not be the one doing all the bending...
Compromise is two way street.

You need time to heal between relationships...
There is nothing cute about baggage...
Deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship

You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you...
A relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals...
Look for someone complimentary...not supplementary.

Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.

Make him miss you sometimes...when a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him - he takes it for granted

Never move into his mother's house. Never co-sign for a man.

Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need.*
Keep him in your radar but get to know others.

Scared of being alone is what makes a lot of women stay in relationships
that are abusive or hurtful: Dr. Phil

You should know that:
You're the best thing that could ever happen to anyone and if a man mistreats you, he'll miss out on a good thing. If he was attracted to you in the 1st place, just know that he's not the only one.

They're all watching you, so you have a lot of choices.
Make the right one.

Ladies take care of your own hearts....

Share this with other women and men (just so they know)...

You'll make someone smile, another rethink her choices,
and another woman prepare.
