Take a LEAP of faith. Stay JUSTIFIED

This is about the situations where most of us felt-like being left let down. We were left breath choked, we got hurt and we realized that someone we tried to help selflessly is/was just not worth it.

Whatever be the case, I always feel that – we shall not be judgmental. Somehow, my conscience-my instincts- my parents always made me believe so. I do have had opinions but I used to let go of situations and people as I was firm that sometimes actions are commanded by the situations and we shall not allow our mind to set a frame of that particular person.

We need to understand – if people value us in their life or people value for being ourselves. If they value you for being there in life – they will love you, care for you and most importantly listen to you. While the others will never be good listeners, they will love & care pertaining to what they have to say to you and if you are talking to them – as they want to listen from you. If this is not the case – you better watch out. This is not gonna take you anywhere, if you have a tendency to ignore and be good, take care of yourself.

I remember, once my soft-skills teacher had said in a counseling session, – "It is good to be good but at times, you need to tell the other person ‘that you can be bad too’". He has asked me to be a little shrewd and on asking – what he was saying, he had explained that world is neither full of compassion and nor in habituates only the good people like I might be thinking. I always realized it whenever my goodness was put to test or I was hurt by a close one but then – I felt ‘It’s good to be good. It keeps us at peace’.

But today, I am heartbroken. I never expected this, I did not even ever thought that in the farthest of thoughts that I would think of being fair to myself, would actually pray to God to give me the strength ‘to allow me to tell others – that yes, I can be bad too’, to feel inside that – yes, I know you have been great all through your life, your patience might have surpassed all the kindness of manhood but please DO NOT expect the same from me. Allow me – to take stand for my own self respect so that in my mind and soul – I live & die JUSTIFIED.

Saying all that, I am thankful to GOD that on taking a deep breath – I can still get some relief. In tears, I am thankful to Almighty that he gave me parents – who always told me to stand firm, my Dad always told me to be righteous and to be so fearlessly.

-------I left this post at this point some 4 days ago! And now when i still thought of sharing it here, I wonder, It is good to be forgetful and forgiving should be revived. Alas! I rest my case with a same notion like always--- if God is watching us all the time, we shall just keep doing things in good faith.

Not Shattered but Inquisitive

God is gracious! May be that’s the reason that I don’t feel shattered but yes, I do feel sad, defoliated at times and inquisitive at the end of the day. At times, things happen to us which are unexpected, undeserved and more to that, they become unavoidable as well. At times when we do things with all good intentions and the perceptions differ and it’s suddenly disqualified from the purpose, without a reason being given, even without a chance for explanation, this abrupt end to the effort fetches a sudden exhaustion. And the mind goes blank, the sight dark and a lost spark. And by the times, we console ourselves of the unnecessary distress; we are left with some inquisition. Why me?

Then there is a feel of defeat, a defeat to life, when we try to be happy by all means, in all times, through all riddles & obstacles, when we break our own promises to ourselves to be happy and cheerful; come what may! It happens, disagreement is one reason, anger in another. Showing anger is not appreciated but keeping anger again causes shattered feelings. When you know you feel awkward but you can’t express, when you are not convinced with what you do but you can’t deny, when you know you could have changed things but you know you won’t do.

All these things………are not negative in thought, unobvious to understand, these are the obvious feelings we all come across at the obvious times of life for may be some unobvious reasons. This could be at home, at work, with friends, colleagues, even in the family…..!

All I pray to God is to give us the patience, the strength & the willpower to excel.

Keep Smiling!! Have a courageous 2009 :-)

Intransigence

Intransigence is all what a person needs most to live. When I say ‘to live’, I mean not to be ‘undead’. One has to understand that the priority always should be ‘To have a happy oneself’. If one is not happy from inside, he/she can’t be a better sibling, a better partner, a better child, a better professional or even a better person.

Intransigence is something which never lets you feel low, feel inferior and feel forced. I know, the word may sound derogatory at times, but the word is powerful as it tells us to withstand to self beliefs and values.

Imperfections are good when one needs to know the weaknesses and realizing the imperfections becomes the strength. But before that one needs to find out the problem, sometimes unnecessary problems occur when we start underestimating ourselves under the influence of others. That time what helps is self-talk. This could be done if one practices what Lucille Ball
once said,

I have an everyday religion that works for me. Love yourself first, and everything else falls into line.

I have always been saying in my previous posts (On, http://o3.indiatimes.com/learnwithtaurian) that, Love is a misused word. I still go by that. In a relationship, many a time love is just not enough. A relationship needs things which are beyond love. No, I am not saying ‘Devotion’, in the practical world, nobody expects that actually. It’s more of give 'n' take these days. You respect someone- you deserve respect. You love someone – you expect love and if you care- you need to be cared too.

Changes occur and few of them are inevitable. What matters here is, that one needs to appreciate the conscious/unconscious changes which life brings in, and most of the times these changes force one to change the life philosophies and if one is not able to do so, that signifies that life is loosing the purpose or may be the person starts loosing the purpose of his/her existence. This is the time one needs to be candid, plain, one needs to be Intransigent.

In short, as Janis Joplin once said,
“Don’t compromise yourself. You are all you've got.”

And remember, Joseph Campbell’s words,
“Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.”

Keep Faith, Keep Smiling!
